Great atmosphere and food!

I’m moving close by in a few months, so wanted to try the food and drinks here and get the “flavor” of the town of Smithville also! The food items I’ve tried (pot stickers and crab cakes) were great...especially the sauce for the crab. My French 75 cocktail was expertly prepared each time. I only had one drink as I had to drive back to Austin so I then asked for water. It’s quite mineral-tasting, so I asked to purchase a bottled water. No such thing was available. Would it be easy to just buy a case of water occasionally? Alternately, I’ll just bring my own...until I grow accustomed to the taste. I’ve already grown fond of a few people I’ve met thus far sitting at the bar! Fun, friendly folks! Looking forward to special food nights I hear are fantastic with my hubby, if I can get him in!! I tried the fresh watermelon and BlackBerry margaritas! The BlackBerry needed a little more flavoring, but other than that they were both great!

Really cool little bar. Great music and plenty of drinks, beers and food to choose from.

Love the upholstered chairs- like getting served in your own livingroom. Great margaritas & wines, good food.

Amazing Valentine dinner with my husband last night. Everything was scrumptous and with a special attention to detail and presentation. The ambuance was wonderful ...such an elegant setting. Great conversations with other diners ...you just can't get that in NYC...or even Austin for that matter!! Loved it and highly recommend it.

Upper level deck currently closed for construction. Another good spot for the Northgate pub crawl.

What a great place to enjoy a meal, relax and have a drink and socialize with some of Smithville's finest people...

This is one of my favorite places to meet friends and have a drink and a nosh. The wine list is extensive, the bartenders are awesome and the appetizers are delicious! The staff is always friendly, helpful and professional even when the place is slammed because of some wonderful food event like sushi, tacos or prime rib. I highly recommend this must stop place while visiting Smithville.

While staying at The Whispering Winds vacation rental on the river we went out exploring and found The Front Room Wine Bar, It’s has amazing prime rib and a great selection of wine. Perfect way to end our weekend stay!

I tried the VooDoo pizza for lunch today, I didn't think crab and crawfish on a pizza would be as good as it was! Sooooo good!

If in the mood for some great food, good atmosphere - & - upscale decor, while in Smithville - Texas Front Room is a MUST!

Amazing! I don't often review, unless something is egregiously bad or amazingly good. This is definitely the latter. My husband and I have been here 25+ times and we have never had a bad experience. Everyone from Danielle behind the bar, Morgan waiting tables, or TaraChez managing the establishment, is very friendly, highly responsive, and competent. The refined and sophisticated ambiance belies the casual and welcoming experiences you will have with everyone there (staff and patrons, alike). Their monthly (smoked) prime rib dinners are excellent - my husband said he thought it was the finest prime rib he had enjoyed in 20+ years. Their regular menu is excellent as well and we especially enjoy the crab cakes, wagyu beef sliders, pot stickers, and caesar salad. Although they are called a Wine Bar, they have a full bar and make a great Hendrick's martini as well! Go and have fun!

Had a great time, owner's, their family and staff went out of their way to check on me. Chef even sent me a sample of her amazing crab cakes. James Robinson and his band were awesome everyone seemed to be having a good time and it was packed and yet staff still were so attentive.

We love this place! Michelle and the staff always make everyone fell like old friends no matter who you are. Very classy place without having to get dress up, which you can of course if you want to or totally casual is great too! The food is always top note and the drinks are amazing. I am the only one who doesn’t drink alcohol, so if anyone in your family doesn’t, I highly suggest their Pina Colada outstanding!
